Hi all, I need some help... I have a UC520 set-up in a trailer. A CE520 is attached to the UC520 and all the wired connections are through that. To provide Internet access (and hopefully wireless network access) I'm using a device called a Rocket (http://www.utility.com/oncomm-rocket.html) with a Verizon express card plugged into it for internet connectivity. The Rocket assigns IP addresses with a scheme of 192.168.0.X for wireless connections and 192.168.2.X for wired connections. I have plugged the Rocket into the WAN port of the UC520. When I am connected through an ethernet cable to the network (the CE520) I am able to ping the Rocket, ping 4.2.2.4, and ping network resources (such as a NAS and even the UC520). When I open Internet Explorer to access the internet it won't connect to the internet page (msn.com for example). When I'm connected wirelessly (to the rocket) I can ping 4.2.2.4 and access the internet (through Internet Explorer) but cannot see any of the network resources or ping network resources (such as the NAS or the UC520). When I connect with an ethernet cable directly to the back of the rocket I can access the internet without a problem. Does anyone have any clue what I might be able to do to access the internet and network resources both wired and wirelessly? Thanks... |

Check the ACL and DNS
For problem is scenario 1, check that the PC is getting a DNS server from the UC500 and consequently, from the rocket box. Some UC500 default configurations have a bogus DNS in the Data DHCP pool that causes issues.
FOr Scenario 2, remember that there is an ACL in the WAN interface and also that NAT is enabled, so you can't really ping internal IP's.
