Hi guys, I would like to know if it's possible to forward the voicemail to BB whenever we get a new voicemail. I am able to receive voicemail through outlook, but unsure how to forward that to blackberry. Thank you |

Use the username, not the extension number
Hey Charles, check out this post http://www.uc500.com/voicemail-retrieve-email
Setup for IMAP view
Does anyone know the IMAP settings for Outlook to access the UC500?
IMAP Settings
I am also trying to sort out the IMAP settings to get Outlook connected to the UC520.
I used the default IP address of the CUE as the IMAP server.
It keeps kicking me out when Outlook tries to login though. I think I'm using the correct username and password.
I have reset the password in both CCA and in the CUE GUI, but no matter what I set as the password I get rejected. It even fails if I leave the password field blank.
DNS setup
Brilliant, I couldn't get SMTP to work until I setup DNS. Thanks.
How do I saet this function
How do I saet this function up, as i cant seem to see it in CCA. Will this have to be setup via CLI?
Use the web GUI not CCA
navigate to the IP Address of Unity Express on your UC500 and you can administer this function from there. The CCA is only really good for initial setup. Use the Web GUI for more advanced features.
Voicemail to Email with Unity Express on the UC520
The Unity Express module in the Uc500 supports email notification optionally with a .wav file attachment through SMTP and IMAP email integration. So you basically have two choices to get your Voicemail on your Blackberry. I prefer IMAP because the notification option only sends a copy of the message, but with IMAP when I delete a voicemail it turns off the red light on my phone and removes it from the message store.
.wav file attachment
Has anyone got this to work - all I can seem to get is a text notification regarding an email message. I'd like the wav file delivered to an exchange email address - exchange server is local. Even when I check the "include" box, no wav files makes it.
More information
The customer I have wants message notification sent to their Exchange box, no WAV file required. I just want to use SMTP, but SMTP settings in the CUE will not accept an FQDN for authentication. What am I doing wrong?
It Works!
You have to edit the SMTP settings from the CME CLI:
from the CME CLI:
smtp server address {hostname | ip-address} authentication {none | username userid password
password | credentials credential-string}
CUE-01# show smtp server
SMTP Server: 172.16.X.X
Authentication: Required
Username: webmaster@besttests.com
Save your config then look at the SMTP settings in the GUI. You will see the FQDN.
Have you setup DNS
Have you setup DNS on Unity Express?
Access IMAP on the UC500
I have DNS Setup:
ip name-server 10.10.224.10
I added: ip domain-name (domain.com)
although we have a split DNS setup inside the office for Active Directory the split DNS name would not take (internal.domain).
and I can ping my DNS server.
From my desktop I can pint 10.1.10.2 & 10.1.10.1. I setup both for IMAP in outlook. I have tried my extension number and password and that did not work. Is there any documentation on how this works?
