Upgrade to CUE

Hello everyone. I would like to upgrade to a newer version of CUE so I can use client reporting. I have am by no means an expert but believe I can follow the Cisco Unity Express 3.0 Installation and Upgrade Guide.

I want to upgrade so I don't lose my config/voicemail data but as I understand it you must be on CME 4.1 or above and CUE 2.3.4 or above.

How do I determine exactly what version of CUE I am on? From the CUE help -> about screen this is what is displayed:

Cisco Unity Express Version 2.3

CCA 1.7

I've actually found that the upgrade section of Cisco Configuration Assistant 1.7 is pretty good.

If you download the latest UC500 package, you can point the upgrade tool at the .zip file and it will read the current version and the new version and you can select which components you want to upgrade..

It will also upgrade the images of IOS and CUE and keep the current config.

where to get the package?

Hi Shane,
Do you know where to get the UC500 package? I'd like to make sure that I have the latest IOS, CME, and CUE? If we could do that through CCA and get all three, that would be awesome.

I am currently running, CCA1.8. I tried to upgrade with the file: uc500-advipservicesk9-mz.124-22.T.bin

but, it said that it was the wrong file.

Any help would be great.

Thanks,
Ben
