Upgrade CME system in less than 20 minutes

The CME upgrade process has been made a lot easier with the introduction of new CME tar packages on the following page - http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/tablebuild.pl/ip-iostsp

Starting with CME 4.1, the CME team started packaging two new TAR packages (cme-basic and cme-full). The cme-basic TAR package will contain the most common phone loads (7940/60, 7941/61, 7906/11, 7921, 7936) and the CME GUI files, while the cme-full package will contain all phone loads (7902, 7905, 7910, 7912, 7914, 7920, 7921, 7931, 7935, 7936, 7940/60, 7941/61, 7906/11, 7970/71, etc), CME GUI files, Ringtones, and Background images, and BACD prompts.

The cme-basic TAR file will have the following folders (gui, phone) while the cme-full TAR package will have the following folders (gui, phone, ringtone, desktop, bacdprompts).

Each TAR package will include a Readme file which provides the instructions for upgrading the CME - this includes all the commands such as tftp-server, load statements, etc.

This new TAR package provides the following benefits to our customers and Cisco:

(1) reduced time to upgrade a CME system
(2) reduced number of mistakes such as typos, missing files, etc

Caveats:
(1) Only CME systems with a minimum of 128MB of flash should use the cme-full tar file; anything less than 128MB should use the cme-basic file and then individually add phone firmware, ringtones, etc

(2) These new tar packages can only be used with routers that support unix file structure such as 37xx, 28xx, 38xx (no support for 26xx)

(3) These new TAR packages do not include files such as cme-tsp, app-did files, etc
