I am a CUE newbie. I've been assigned a project to upgrade CUE at several remote sites, some running 1.1.1, some 2.1. Anyway, I set up a test system running on a Cisco 2691 and AIM module with 256MB flash on the AIM. I upgraded to CUE 3.2.2 w/o any problems. However, to make sure I've worked out all the kinks (and so I can roll back if there are any issues), I'm trying to downgrade back to the earlier versions. Regardless of the version I try to roll back to (1.1.1, 2.0.1, 2.1.1, 2.3.1, 3.0), it always fails. If I try to downgrade using the "software install clean" command when online, I always get the message "Online install/download is not allowed due to insufficient FLASH capacity". If I try to use the "boot helper" command, I get the message "Downloading cue-vm.2.1.1.pkg Validating package signature ... error I opened a trouble ticket with Cisco, and they have been absolutely useless, telling me the validation error indicates a corrupt file, even though I've downloaded the files using multiple ftp clients and web browsers from both work and home. I can say without exaggeration that I've downloaded each of these version 5-6 times each, in all the different ways I've mentioned. Has anyone encountered this issue and found a solution? I'm in Atlanta, and the systems I'm upgrading are in Asia, so I'm not risking an upgrade if I can't back out in a emergency. I've been working on this for two weeks now and am getting nowhere. BTW, while I'm new to CUE, I've been working with Cisco routers for 10 years, so I'm not entirely incompetent! |
