Does anyone have any information on how to program the UC520 to give users the ability to access their voicemail messages externally. Using POTS lines or DID. Thank you very much for any help. |

vm - 2 ways..
Hi everyone,
I confirm the two couple ways,
with a DID (DDI on Spain)... "num-exp XXXXXXXX 400", all callers where was dialed "XXXXXXXX" will be transfered directly to voice mail system. (* to login with our extension)
with a menu script where one of outputs have a Call Redirect to voice mail extension. (* to login with our extension)
I tested the two options and run well.
Best Regards,
ArTiCo.
XXXXXXXX = your did number
VM
Thank you very much. That was perfect..

There are probably a couple ways to do it. If you have an unused DID, have it transfer directly to your VM extension (probably 400). The users can then enter their mailbox number and password. If you have an AA script, you could setup a selection to transfer to the vm extension through it. i.e. setup the aa script so that if you press '9' (or whatever you want), it transfers to vm. Of course you wouldn't have to advertise this in your greeting, only your users would know about it.
I think they could also just transfer to their own extension, then when their greeting starts, hit * or # to get to a prompt to login. I cant test this at the moment though.
