Hey everyone, Yesterday I had a look "under the hood" of a UC520 and I found that right above the FXS ports there is a hidden second VIC slot! I have no idea if it actively works with a VIC as I haven't got one available but it makes you wonder... Other interesting points are: * 1GB Compact Flash for the Integrated Services Engine to store voicemail I also wonder if the PVDM2-32 can be replaced with a 64 DSP version and still be recognized by the IOS software? |

Why would you want to
Why would you want to replace the PVDM's for a larger model? Unless you're seriously running out of DSP's (by connecting a PRI), there's not a real advantage to it.
Also i'm not sure if the router would recognize it. I have a 2801 and put a PVDM2-32 in it, but it only supports 30, it would be pointless for me to put a larger PVDM in it. Not sure about the UC520 though, but i wouldn't be surprised if the capacity is capped similary.
