Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum and new to the UC500. I'm getting a little confused about all of the different software images that are inside the box. I was hoping someone could give a brief explanation of each. I understand what CME and Unity Express are, but what is the SBCS software? Does that include CME or Unity Express? If I want to upgrade the CME on the box, is that completely separate from the IOS? What are the latest versions of each of the software images in the box so I can check mine to see what I might want to upgrade? Any advice would be appreciated. |

SBCS is an umbrella term

SBCS (Smart Business Communications System) is the Marketing name that we use to cover all products and features under this particular SMB solution. The latest SBCS release is 1.3, and it includes the UC500 Software Pack UC520-4.2.9.zip, which at the same time includes:
CME Release: 4.2
CUE Release: 3.1.2
IOS Release: 12.4(11)XW9
CCA 1.8 can be used to easily upgrade to 4.2.9.
IOS can be upgraded independently, but please bear in mind that at Cisco we only test the systemic combination (4.2.9).
