UC500 establishing VoIP Calls to Cisco Unified Call Manager

HI All,

Anyone tried configuring a UC500 to call a Cisco Unified Call Manager via H323/SIP?
Will it work?
Any concern or experience to share?

Uc500 to CCM

Done it both ways using H.323 and SIP. It works and works exactly the same as Regular CallManager Express on a ISR router. Just uses a dial-peer. I prefer to use H.323 in a enterprise as I can use Gatekeepers in a distributed environment for Call Admission control.

HI,

Thanks for the info.
What H323 gatekeeper are you using?
Can share?

I am thinking of a SIP proxy or H323 gatekeeper too.

h323 gatekeeper

I usually just use a 2800 series ISR router or a Pair of them running HSRP (sharing a virtual IP)

It really depends on the size of the deployment.

If you are new to Using Cisco routers as Gatekeepers Check out the Cisco press book on it
