UC 500 DHCP on FastEthernet ports.

Hello,

I figthing with the UC500 to get it up and running. Can somebody tell me how to setup the FastEthernet ports to provide DHCP for computers ? In a couple of weeks the phone's are comming in but for now we need the network for the remote office, en via FastEthernet 0/0 to the web with 192.168.1.x

I can create an VLAN1 but i cannot setup a DHCP on this vlan with an internal route to FastEthernet 0/0 to go to the internet ?

Thanks
Marcel.

Separate DHCP addresses

I my scenarion all the users connected in the LAN with the default 192.168.x.x from the UC520 default config and my fast ethernet works with DHCP provided IP address 172.18.x.x , internet also work fine.
I would want all the ports to take the IP address from the Router in the range for 172.18.x.x rather than 192.168.x.x
How do i acheive this and how do i make UC520 a dhcp client.

I tried changing the parameters but the internet was not working inspite of taking the 172.18 .x.x ip address .

Pls advise

The UC500 is config for

The UC500 is config for Vlan1 , I would factory default UC500 by going into CCA v1.6, Maintenance, Reset.

If your router give out DHCP address, just connect it to FastEthernet0/0 port it will take an ip address from the router and connect your PC to the phone, this will give you internet access.

Do you want the DHCP servers

Do you want the DHCP servers for PCs to be the UC500? Usually on the data vlan the UC500 takes an address and that's it. It can get more complicated when you need the PC to talk to the phones, but it can be done also.
