Hello guys. I'm a rank beginner who is trying to set up a 48 unit UC520 to replace our existing phone system. All the basics I need work, but a few nagging issues. I have 7975 phones with 8 buttons + some 7914 add ons. I have assigned a number of system wide parks . eg ephone-dn 101 ephone 18 At the moment I need to hit the transfer softkey then the park button to park a call. Is there a option to place a active call directly on a button with a single keypress? |

Solved
Thanks guys.
It was the lack of that service running. As it turned out, I found it while looking under info on speed dials. So many details in the Admin guide in unexpected places! Also found how to turn on full-blind transfers to make the transfer immediate -- more appropriate for our use and a tip for anyone else in a similar situation "transfer-system full-blind" under telephony.
transfer
One tip on transfer - You can override the system setting on the ephone-dn level. So some lines could be blind transfer and others consultative.
Works fine for me
I have a very similar configuration and it works for me. You might check to see if you have the Service Dss option under Telephony Services. The Dss service lets you transfer calls by pushing buttons. Its primarily used on 7931 phones but will work with any phone.

Usage Guidelines
This command enables phone users to quickly transfer calls to an extension selected by a speed-dial or monitor line button without having to press the Transfer button. If this command is enabled, a user can transfer a call when the call is in the connected state by simply pressing a speed-dial or monitor line button to select the transfer destination. The transfer action is automatically implied by CME if the service dss is enabled.
This feature is supported only on phones on which monitor-line buttons for speed dial or speed-dial line buttons are configured.
Using the no form of the changes the behavior of the speed-dial line button on all IP phones so that a user pressing a speed-dial button in the middle of a connected call will play out the speed-dial digits into the call without transferring the call. If the service dss is disabled, the phone user must press the Transfer button before pressing the speed-dial line button or monitor line button to transfer the call.
For Cisco Unified CME 4.0 and earlier, the transfer-system full-consult dss is used to select between blind transfers and consult transfers for the DSS case.
