SR520 and DMVPN

After doing an IOS update on an SR520 to 12.4-24T1, I just noticed that DMVPN is now available. Sweet! It wasn't available in the older 12.4-20 code I was running.
Still no EIGRP support, but at least it's a step in the right direction.
I like using DMVPN for my multi-site VPN deployments, it seems to work very well. Here is the config guide, the setup is pretty simple. Just remember that in a UC520/SR520 network, you have no EIGRP support so you'll have to use static routes to get traffic flowing between sites. And be sure to allow GRE through your access lists.

Unfortunatly No
Greetings,
Cisco's DMVPN is a propriatary configuration. It utilizes NHRP maps and other feature/functions that are Cisco's alown. Some vendors license some of these feature and claim they work with the DMVPN but I have not seen any that work off hand.
Your best bet is to procure a GEN2 ISR 1900 or a GEN1 88x series. Watch the licensing on the 88x series they have it so certain feature are locked out unless you buy the advance security license. Put your PBX behind that and run your DMVPN from the Cisco router in the branch.

DMVPN
Would you be able to use DMVPN with third party vendor security routers? Lets say, for example, the hub site was a Cisco and the spoke sites had a nortel BSR router. would that work?
