Does anyone know how to map a speed dial to a button on a phone? I have a couple of users that have 7931 phones and would like to use some of the extra buttons to work as speed dials for commonly used numbers. Ryan |

Ryan, that's exactly what
Ryan, that's exactly what Ted gave you the configuration for. The speed-dials are placed in ascending order starting on the first unconfigured button.
Thanks
I didn't understand it that way.
Update....
This works perfectly on all Cisco phones but the 7931. I have no idea why it doesn't work. I desperately need solution for the 7931 phone.
Ryan
have you configured type
have you configured type 7931 under ephone ? Which exact IOS and phone FW are you running ?
Yes.....but
Yes the type is 7931. I discovered today that this only works after the last programmed button. In my case I have buttons 1-4 programmed and then buttons 18-24. Speed dials will not fill in the middle buttons eventhough they are available. This is really sucks and is very limiting. There has to be a better way.

or you can configure via the CUE GUI. Or your user can log into the CUE if they have a username/password and update their spead dials themselves.

Thanks.....but
Thanks but I want to map a speed dial to one of the buttons on the phone. Just like when you assign Shared lines and other ephone-dn's to buttons I want to assign a speed dial to one of the buttons. I would think it would go some thing like:
ephone 1
button 1:1 2:speed dial????
I 've had several customers ask. Maybe its a feature we simply don't have.
