Some details of CME 8 already revealed on cisco.com website

I actually found the following page posted on the cisco.com website which describes features added to CME 8: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucme/feature/guide/Cisco_Unified_IPPhones_69xx_Series.html
 
Here are the new features added to Cisco Unified CME 8, according to the above page that has been posted on the cisco.com website:

  • Support for the 6900 series IP phones
  • Do not disturb and privacy feature buttons
  • Unlocked MeetMe conference

I do not know at this time when CME 8 will be supported on the UC500 platform or CCA.

CME 8 will be supported on the following:

  • 1861 ISR
  • 2800 and 3800 series ISRs
  • 2900 and 3900 series ISRs
  • UC500, including the UC520 and UC540

Yes, CME 8 will be supported on the newly released 2nd generation 2900 series and 3900 series ISRs. CME 8 will also be supported on the UC520 and UC540 in the future.
