I saw an intersteng article at CRN today. They reviewed 5 SMB systems, The UC520, Avaya Quick Edition, fonality PBXtra, Adtran NetVanta and the Nortel BCM. They may not have ranked the UC520 number one, but they haven't convinced me to sell anything else.

Interesting thing here is
Interesting thing here is that NON of the other ones solve a very important issue. Quality of Service. You can install a fonality solution but it never worries about QOS on your switches or routers. So those solutions will not perform as well as UC500 because UC500 installs all the proper QOS tags from END to END. That way you get crystal clear digital calls from end to end. All the others are left to give telephony a bad name.

Seems to me that UC is one of the few options that sell the box as an all-in-one solution. That is; it is also your office router, firewall etc.
Kind of a convenient proposition ain't it?
Thats why I like it :)
