Hi all
I have found this site a great resource, what a great find!
I have a quick question for you. We have our system UC52032U6BRI and we need to run our PC's connectted to the phones as we do not have enough network ports in the office.
The default IP for data on the system is 192.168.10.x we have changed our internal systems to suit the ip range, but we do not want the UC520 to give out DHCP address's as we already have an DHCP server in place. Can I disable the DHCP function on the UC500 (Would i then have to set an static ip on the UC520 switch?)
What would be the prcedure in doing this, hopefully we can do it from CCA. As i do not have any experirence with cisco systems at all. Always like a challenge though!!
Just thought of another thing how do i map an ISDN2 port coming in to the analog lines (2 lines coming in which need to be routed to the fax lines
Cheers for your help
External DHCP Server
You can use a separate DHCP server. BUT you must configure your Voice Network's DHCP scope to include Option 150. Option 150 Defines a TFTP server. This address should be the IP address of the Call Manager Express process running on the router that is set at the telephony-services configuration. TFTP is very important so the phone can download it's configuration file, ringtones and firmware.
