I'm looking for a way to have Exchange pull the IMAP voice mail (.wav files) automatically from the UC520 and then deliver to a specific user's exchange mailbox. This would allow elimination of the second mailbox (IMAP account) to manage voice messages from exchange. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Any 3rd party recommendations? |

Babul,, We've found no real
Babul,,
We've found no real way to inegrate our IMAP feature with exchange either. We can setup email notifiaction to user's exchange email accounts but it will not effect their message lights as you've noticed. What we wound up doing is just setting up a seperate and additional IMAP account in Outlook that connects to the unity express mailbox for that user which gives that functionality that we like in regards to the MWI.
However, this additional IMAP account is obviously not available through OWA or through exchange active synch for smartphones. If anyone has a better workaround for this, I'd love to hear what you've come up with.

I was planning to do exactly
I was planning to do exactly what you are talking about.
That was until I realized/found that Unity Express will email the voicemail immediately after its left.
Here are the rough steps to get this working:
1. Login to Unity Express
2. Administration > SMTP Settings - specify your exchange server. I recommend you allow Exchange to accept unauthenticated email from the UC500.
3. Voice Mail > Message Notification > Notification Administration - enable system-wide notification for all messages
4. Configure > Users
5. Click on the user you want to enable notifications for
6. On the Notification tab click on Email Inbox - enable notification, set email address, set notification preference for All Messages, attach voice mail to message, use Quick Add to enable 24x7 notification schedule (all checkboxes should be checked), apply changes, close pop-up
7. Back from the Notification tab - check the Enabled box for Email Inbox, apply changes
8. Switch to the Profile tab - enable notification for the user, apply changes
9. Test
10. If it works, repeat for all other users
A little tedious but it works.
Now when a user receives a voicemail it'll show up in their Outlook almost immediately.

Has...
This stopped working since the CUE upgrade by chance? I don't seem to be getting Emails on VMs anymore...
NM
Looks like I either removed it, although I think it's a new tab category under CUE3.0.X, but... The "OutGoing Email from Address" was missing in the VoiceMail > VM Configuration tab...
Good post But . . .
Babul,
Nice post about setting up message notification. The one thing that I would point out that you lose using Notification over IMAP is that; With notification You have an email inbox and Voicemail box to manage your voicemessages. With IMAP when you delete a message from your email inbox you actually delete it off of the message store and the red light goes off on the phone.
Really nice post though, I'll copy it over to the configuration Guides.
