General Delivery Mailbox

I have a small business on a UC520 system. I havent figured out how to setup a general delivery mailbox. I have a group setup for it and have added members to it, but when I dial the group number I get a fast busy. I havent found any documentation on the web on how to do this.

Also, when I am in the CUE GUI, i get a Java "out of memory" error when I try to click on Groups. Any ideas would be helpful.

Ok. I have the general

Ok. I have the general delivery mailbox setup. Its extension is 900. I have a general-mailbox group setup and gave several users access to it. I still have a fast busy when I dial 900 from those users' phones. What am I missing?

Wow, I added the 10.1.10.1

Wow, I added the 10.1.10.1 to trusted sites and Group came right up. I checked the box to create mailbox. I will check the functionality as soon as I can get in there. Thanks so much!

cool. don't forget to map a

cool. don't forget to map a line key on user's phones to the GDM, then they can see if their is a new voicemail. you can probably overlay the GDM button on top of an existing one, but i havent tried that. Users access the GDM mailbox through the GDM prompt in their normal voicemail.

Yeah, I follow how that

Yeah, I follow how that works, but I cant dial the mailbox directly at extension 900. I get a fast busy. I can log into the mailbox from a phone using voiceview express, but thats it. I have a night time script that has the caller dial 0 to go to the general mailbox. This isnt going to work if they get a fast busy signal. What are the reasons for a fast busy for this extension? Thanks for all your help!

you probably need a dial-peer unity express for that number

GDM

Not sure about your java error, try updating your java software, or try from a different PC?

When you created the new Group, did you click the 'Create Mailbox' checkbox? if so you should have a 'mailbox' tab under the group with the mailbox info.

I think thats the problem.

I think thats the problem. Since I cant access the Group from the CUE GUI, I dont have that option. How can I accomplish this from the command line?

I have installed a new version of JAVA and tried from several machines, but I still get the error. I rebooted everything last night, but that made no difference. Thanks!!

IE options

Try adding the URL for CUE to trusted sites in Internet Explorer Security Settings. IE Security sometimes breaks the GUI.
