External Loud Ringer on IP Phone?

Does anyone have a solution for running an external loud ringer/bell on a Cisco IP Phone? My customer currently has an Algo ringer (http://www.algosolutions.com/products/visual-audible-alerting/1825-Loud-...) on an existing analog phone that is being replaced. I see that they have compatibility with some Nortel units, just wondering if anyone has gotten them (or something like it) to work with a Cisco phone.

You can always do what I

You can always do what I did....

Drill a hole, add a audio Jack and jack it into a audio Reciever to overhead speakers!

Should work with an FXS port

I haven't used the device, but you should be able to plug it into an FXS port and just share the line on the Phone to get it to work. You could also use an ATA.

If using an FXS port, the port will have to be under the control of STCAPP to share the line from an IP phone to an Analog phone attached to the FXS port. STCAPP control is the default for a UC520 FXS port.

The 7970 series IP Phones

The 7970 series IP Phones have an optional external speakers and microphone. There are stickers covering the ports on the side of the phone that you have to remove. You then choose the option to activate them from the user preferences option after hitting the Settings button.
