Cisco TAC Issues - CME - UE

Symptoms: Cisco IP phones running firmware that uses SCCP version 17 cannot register to SRST/CME-SRST, or will register but not obtain any lines.
Conditions: This symptom is observed on Cisco routers with Survivable Remote Site Telephony (SRST) and Cisco IOS Release 15.0(1)XA. This is the first image with SCCP version 17 support for SRST.
Workaround: Download the IP phone firmware to a Cisco IOS release image that does not use SCCP version 17. For Cisco 79x1/5/2 phones and Cisco 797x phones, this is 8.3 firmware. For Cisco 7937 phones, obtain a load prior to 1.4(1).

Symptom: Call Pickup feature stops working. We notice that, Pickup-group configuration goes missing from ephone-dn when the pickup soft key is used.
Conditions: When pickup soft key is used. Noticed with IOS: c2800nm-advipservicesk9-mz.151-4.M2.bin
Workaround: This issue is not present on IOS 15(1)2T1.

Symptom: Call made into an ephone-hunt group fails to transfer to the number configured with the "final " command when all agents are unavailable. Calling party gets fast busy. Disconnect with cause code of 1 which is "Unallocated/Unassigned Number." Debug and command output show that the system only uses the first 3 digits configured in the "final " command to route the call.
Conditions: CME 8.8 ephone-hunt group configuration with the "final " command configured with 4 or more digits.
Workaround: Configure the "final " where the number is three digits.

Symptom: Cisco router crashed while running 15.1(2)T2 with SIP calls.
Conditions: Router configured to handle SIP.
Workaround: None.

Symptom: Visual Voice: Forward message, Record intro, soft key says "Stop" in English Visual Voice: Record greeting, soft key says "Stop" in English Visual Voice: Record name, soft key says "Stop" in English
Conditions: Running CUE 8.6.1 and VoiceView
Workaround: NA

Symptom: Blank Search in CME Local Directory gives XML Parse Error on IP Phones with Russian Locale
Conditions: - Directory contains more then 30 records - Russian Locale is configured on IP Phones
Workaround: - use English Locale

Symptoms: A Cisco router acting as an SRST may unexpectedly reload due to a bus error.
Conditions: This symptom is observed with phones registered to the SRST.
Workaround: There is no workaround.

Symptom: When disabling or enabling the aa application, an snmp trap with cueNotifSeverity : informational(3) is sent to SNMP server in CUE version 8.6; however, it was being sent as sev 2 (warning) in previous version.
Conditions: When CUE is upgraded from lower version to version 7.1 or higher
Workaround: None

Symptom: IOS 15.2.3T on 29XX G2 ISR shows wrong CME version 8.8 whereas older version 15.2.2T shows CME 9.0 (correct version per compatibility Matrix). The IOS 15.2.3T needs to display correct version 9.0 under telephony-service.
Conditions: When IOS on ISR is upgraded to 15.2.3T
Workaround: None

Symptom: Message Waiting Indicator (MWI) light does not work for Cisco SIP Phones in Cisco SIP Survivable Remote Site Telephony (SRST) Mode
Conditions: This is a request to add the support for MWI for Cisco SIP phones in SIP SRST mode.
Workaround: None.

Symptom: When a SIP phone initiates a call and the call is transferred to another phone, the ringback that is heard on the initial SIP phone is noisy.
Conditions: The issue is noticed in SRST and CME modes. Issue does not happen when phones are registered on CUCM. Issue does not happen if the call is initiated from an SCCP phone. A typical scenario : 1. Phone A (SIP) calls Phone B (SIP/SCCP) 2. Phone B (SIP/SCCP) blind transfers to Phone C (SIP/SCCP) 3. The ringback heard on Phone A (SIP), after the transfer, is noisy and distorted. The reason for this is that SIP message exchange is implemented differently in CME/SRST and CUCM. The email attached to the bug has a detailed analysis of this difference in SIP message exchange.
Workaround: None

Symptom: Using the CME 9.0 GUI the logout button does not work properly.. With Internet Explorer, after clicking on the logout button, a prompt is received reporting that the tab will be closed, but if the browser is not completely shutdown, the user can go to the URL and will still be logged in. On Firefox, the logout button does not function at all.
Conditions: Issue has been observed on both a 2911 and 3945 loaded with 152-2.T using CME 9.0
Workaround: Shut down the web browser completely

Symptom: show voicemail detail mailbox will show negative saved message count mwi light is always on for affected mailbox. can check/delete actual vm messages, but will always say there is a new message even when all have been deleted.
Conditions: seen on cue 8.0.3 and above. imap integration (may not be limited to outlook 2k3 client)
Workaround: reloading or recreating mailbox will temporarily resolve issue.

Symptom: UC560 will fail while doing CUE data backup. Config backup will succeed. This is through CCA or CLI or GUI
Conditions: uc560. Seen in multiple version of 8.x
Workaround: none at this time. contact L2 with: "log console info" output while taking a CLI backup. messages/atrace logs while doing backup and CCA log if applicable This could be related to corruption issues involving CSCtr07804, but has yet to be 100% confirmed.

Symptom: When creating or editing a CUE AA script using the GUI, if a sub-menu is added under the main menu and error will be seen when attempting to save. The script can not be saved. All other parameters work fine. This is seen in CUE 8.6.1, but does not happen in CUE 8.5.1. This is the error seen: Save failed due to internal errors. Save failed due to internal errors. Workaround: Downgrade to CUE 8.5.1 (unless you need 8.6.1 features)

Symptom: CUE 8.6.1crashes frequently. Upon reload it resets a few minutes after reaching steady state.
Conditions: The issue was first observed after restoring a backup from the same CUE version. However, it has also happened with after installing using boot loader method.
Workaround: None

Symptom: A Cisco Router configured for voice functions may crash.
Conditions: The exact condition to trigger the crash is unknown at this time. A user attempted to use a conference bridge on an IP Phone connected to the router.
Workaround: There is no workaround.

Workaround: None at this time

Symptom: Paging is working only from some Phones
Conditions: With Cisco IOS version 15.2(2)T, the configured paging multicast IP address for ephones is not populated in "StartMulticastMediaReception" message. So IP phones are paged individually using IP unicast transmission and only up to ten phones can page.
Workaround: The issue is not observed with IOS version 12.4(22)T.

Symptom: SNR will not work if the calls to ip phones are routed via Dial by extension invoked by TCL scripts
Conditions: CME, SNR and TCL scripts for inbound calls
Workaround: NA
