Is CME loaded?

Please excuse my ignorance! I'm completely new to VoIP and have recently aquired a UC520 and phones. I'm setting up the lab in my home and so far so good. However, I have the Cisco Press book, Cisco IP Communications Express and am reading through it. It explains the commands according to standard IOS (cool), but then it states you can use the "ephone-dn" command and that it apparently groups the commands together somehow. Is there a special command you use to access the CME part of the IOS or am I crazy, because the "ephone-dn" command doesnt work like it shows in the book. How can I tell if CME is loaded on the UC520? Thanks in advance !!!

I look at IOS config like this for CME

Any configuration that I do under telephony-service configuration is CME specific.

Many of the commands outside of telephony-service are commands specific to the voice gateway features of the router.

Sorry!

I see that the "ephone-dn" command is working as it shows in the book. I must have been in the wrong mode or something. But I'm still curious as to how you can tell if CME is loaded or not. Thanks.
