Call routing to mailbox from DDI

nistefan's picture

Hi,

Having trouble getting a DDI route to a users mailbox.

When you ring the DN internally with a forward set, the mailbox answers OK and you get the recorded greeting, everything works fine. When you ring the DDI associated with the DN, the voicemail prompts answers and prompts "There is no mailbox associated with this extension, good-bye."

I've tried deleting and recreating the mailbox.

I think I'm maybe overlooking something, any ideas?

I've actually solved this

I've actually solved this one.

Enter your received digits in the Primary E.164 field... ie. 333332 (in the User Profile).

DDI = DID

Sorry, in the UK here we refer to DID's as DDI's (Direct Dial In)

Basically I want the phone to ring for so many rings then forward to the mailbox, this works when you ring the DN internally, but when following the DDI/DID it rings for the set time then gives the prompt...

"There is no mailbox associated with this extension, good-bye."

By DDI do you mean a Direct

By DDI do you mean a Direct Dial to Inbox?

Try This:

Ephone-dn 1
number 7...
Call-forward-all 500 (assuming 500 is the voicemail pilot)

In the Primary E.164 number box on the user config page of the GUI, enter 7100 (assuming the subscribers extension is 100)

dial 7100 and you will go straight to the user's greeting.

Let me know if this helps.

I'm having the same

I'm having the same problem.
But I'do not understand where to "try This":

Can't find the settings in either Cisco CallManager Express web interface or Cisco Configuration Assistant.

Are you using translation

Are you using translation rules or a secondary number on your dn's for the DDI?

If you are using an internal ext for the primary and the DDI for the scondary dn number, then you will need to add the DDI to the voicemail box as well.

To do this login to the CUE/CME GUI and go to the user that is associated with the mailbox you are concerned with. In the E.164 box enter the DDI as it appears in your dn config.

Report back with the results.
