Cisco Configuration Assistant 1.7 is now available

Cisco Configuration Assistant 1.7

With Cisco Configuration Assistant 1.7 according to Cisco you can configure 3 new options from this GUI:

  • Bearer Capability for PRI under the Device tab.
  • Bearer Capability and Static TEI for BRI under the Device tab.
  • Call Progress Tone under the System tab.

Call Waiting options on Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express and the UC500

Configuring Call Waiting for CallManager Express

Call waiting is a feature that is enabled by default on all dual-line ephone-dns.

There are some instances where you may wish to disable Call-Waiting but keep other benifits of a dual-line ephone-dn such as consultative transfer and conferencing.

To disable a directory number from accepting call-waiting requests use the

Custom XML IP Phone Services for the UC500 and Cisco Unified Call Manager Express

Berbee has some example XML services that are free to use at http://www.berbee.com/public/berbeesoftware/XMLFree.aspx
The problem is that one cannot simply add a service to the url services: a new service always replaces the current service. That why you have to create a custom menu.xml file on your webserver if you still want to use VoiceView Express. (The instructions on Berbee's site are for full blown Call Manager.)

New install with 7931 phone. The literature I hae 7931 users guide has the menu, directories, and services buttons (24-21) as default. These buttons are not apearing on the phones.
