FlipHi UC500.com users,

We are looking for some UC500 end users (not resellers) to help us with a usability study. For their time, they will get a nice gift card.

If you have a customer interested in participating in this remote study, from their desk and a short period of time, please let me know.

You can email me at marchern@cisco.com

The resellers who successfully submit a customer name and get them to sign up for the study, will participate in a raffle of a Cisco Flip camera. Since the number of slots are limited, your chances to win have never been better.

Now available: Cisco Configuration Assistant 2.2(4) - CCA 2.2(4)

The Cisco Configuration Assistant( CCA) team is pleased to announce the availability of the latest release - CCA version 2.2(4). CCA is an easy to use interface for managing platforms within the Cisco Smart Business Communications System (SBCS) Solution.
The major highlights in CCA v2.2(4) include:

1) UC 500 Software Pack 8.0.2 Support

2) Key user interface changes and enhancements:

• Enable/disable wireless interface option for UC 500/SR 500W platforms with integrated wireless. Uncheck the Enable Wireless Interface option in the WLANs (SSIDs) window to shut down the wireless interface for these platforms. You can still add and update SSID configuration when the interface is disabled.

• Enable playing of Caller ID for incoming voicemail messages. Check the Play Caller ID for Incoming Messages option on theSetup tab in the Voicemail window to enable this feature (Configure > Telephony > Voicemail).

• The IP address and subnet mask for VLANs on the UC 500 (all platforms), SR 520, and SR 520-T1 can now be edited on the Interface Configuration tab in the IP Addresses window (Configure > Routing > IP Addresses).

• The default CFNA Timeout value for phones is increased from 10 to 20 seconds. The default Timeout value for Call Blast group is 16 seconds. These default settings help to ensure that the timeout for Call Blast Groups is lower than the CFNA timeout for member extensions, so that calls are forwarded correctly.

• You can now enter a custom label for Call Park extensions.

• PSTN phone numbers can now begin with a plus “+” character. This includes the PSTN number fields in the incoming dial plan, AA PSTN Main Number, PSTN main number for voicemail access, Caller ID numbers, and DID number fields in the Telephony Setup Wizard.

3) Samples of key fixes in CCA v2.2(4) include:

Beta users needed - Office Manager Remote Study

Dear UC500.com Community,

As we approach the release  date for the second beta drop of Cisco Office Manager  (http://www.cisco.com/go/officemanager), we would like to recruit 8 end  users that are familiar with our UC500 product and use it on a  daily basis. They would be participating in a remote usability study, to  last no more than 90 minutes, and for their time they will be compensated.

Please notice that Cisco Office Manager is  NOT a Partner tool, but rather an end user tool. That is why it is  important that we identify the correct candidates for this study. If you  have a friendly customer who would like to benefit from this program  and would like to help Cisco enhance our products under a signed NDA, please invite them to be part of this exercise.

The remote study will be conducted during the last week of April and the  first week of May. Again, we are limited to 8 participants.

To register for this opportunity or if you need more information, please  contact Marcos Hernandez - marchern@cisco.com

Thanks  for your help!
